The Company

The Dutch investment company HTP Investments BV (HTP) was established in 1990 and specialises in acquiring, restructuring and consolidating companies in special situations. In this sector, HTP has achieved comprehensive and proven track record, having successfully completed more than 50 transactions since it was formed. The “old economy” portfolio companies have strong products and achieved a leading position in the respective markets.

The approach pursued by HTP is entrepreneurial in nature. The company only invests the funds of the partners Wim de Pundert and Klaas Meertens and is not subject to any restrictions with respect to the amount invested or the period over which investments are held. Furthermore HTP has no specific expectations in terms of return on investment.. HTP expands the activities of its portfolio companies both through organic growth and further acquisitions (buy & build strategy). As the owner, HTP supports the management in restructuring, strategic decision making and reorganisation of the firm’s financial structure.

Companies belonging to HTP include the HTP subsidiary HTP Automotive GmbH specialising in the automobile sector, the subsidiary HTP Freizeit GmbH (in formation), which specialises in the motor home and caravan sector, and the real estate company HTP Automotive Immobilien GmbH, which manages a large part of the real estate in HTP Automotive. The holding structure facilitates pro-active strategic support of the portfolio companies, effective risk management and easy integration of further acquisitions.

The largest German companies owned by HTP are Knaus Tabbert GmbH, GEIGER Automotive GmbH, REUM Kunststoff- und Metalltechnik GmbH and NEUE HALBERG-GUSS GmbH. In addition, HTP also holds significant stake in the shares of Morelo Reisemobile GmbH and is the owner of the Dutch company NEM BV. With these companies, HTP generates combined sales of approx. €1.2 billion and employs a total workforce of some 6000. GEIGER Automotive, REUM and Halberg Guss are grouped together under HTP Automotive, while the leading manufacturer of motor homes and caravans, Knaus Tabbert, and the investment in the manufacturer of premium motor homes, Morelo, are included in the subsidiary HTP Freizeit.
